Katherine Danley, LCSW provides assessment and therapy to children and adults of all ages. Her practice style is an eclectic approach using cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal, mindfulness, and play therapy. Ms. Danley received her BSW and MSW from Indiana University and has worked in a variety of mental health settings since then. Her focus initially was working as an in home therapist with children and families, then a therapist in a community mental health setting. She then started her career at the VA where she worked with the OEF/OIF/OND Veterans, suicide prevention, homeless Veterans and then here in Indianapolis on the acute psychiatric unit at the VA.
Ms Danley enjoys working with a wide variety of ages and mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder and childhood issues. In her back-ground she had in-depth training with DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy) and trauma work. She enjoys working with children and their parents and doing couples work as well.
